1. To hold an annual meeting of the JGS, publish a scientific journal, Journal of Japan Glaucoma Society (annually), and prepare for WGC 2021 in Kyoto.
  2. To conduct collaborative, transinstitutional research projects such as the Tajimi and Kumejima epidemiological studies and Collaborative Bleb-Related Infection Incidence and Treatment Study.
  3. To make much wider people aware of glaucoma by Light-up in Green Movement, which illuminates landmark facilities such as castles, monuments, famous towers, in green during the World Glaucoma Week at some 100 locations across the country.
